Wow, it pains even saying that , Duke!

Maryland needs a bit more than a small miracle

Virginia needs 3 of 5, which I hope doesnt happen because BC is on thier list, but I dont see them winning any or MANY of the rest of thier schedule

UNC needs to win 3 of 5 , which I think they can do. but it will be close.

NCSt needs 4.. and I don't see it happening. Wonder if Toby will be back?

Wake needs 2 of 4, They play a tough last 4 games, but it is possible.

FSU needs 3 of 5 , and they probably have the easiest schedule of all.

Some of the bowls i picked were more we havent been lately, and a matchup I liked, rather than the exact math.

The ACC is without question not going to fill all its spots.

which is reverse of what we want.
But I am willing to wager that at least 3 of the above make it to a bowl.Wesleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05957573502532435624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8693132595760033104.post-35976567385722801862009-10-28T16:31:06.620-04:002009-10-28T16:31:06.620-04:00Brian...nice catch. I'll be rooting like hell for FSU and NCSU to beat Clemson, but with the exception of FSU, I'll be very surprised if any of those other teams on the list are bowl eligible.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15511919115372205489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8693132595760033104.post-21745164858844885152009-10-28T15:34:51.072-04:002009-10-28T15:34:51.072-04:00Brian,

This made me laugh.

Wesley - BC in the EagleBank Bowl? I don't even think it will be possible. The ACC won't have enough bowl eligible teams ...

Maryland isn't winning out. NC State isn't winning 4 of their last 5. Duke isn't winning 3 of their last 5. Neither is UNC. Neither is UVA. Wake might not even get to bowl eligibility now. I think you will only see 6 ... maybe 7 teams from the ACC bowl eligible this year, largely because we didn't take care of business out of conference and the NC schools have to get to 7 wins.

So, long story short, I think that ACC only fills their first 6 bowls through the Who Cares Bowl in Charlotte (assuming we get 7 and one goes BCS at-large, e.g. VT). Maybe we get 7 and Emerald Bowl, but I think EagleBank and GMAC are definitely off the table this year.

Also, Orange Bowl gets first at-large BCS pick this year, not the Big East champ. Cincinnati in all likelihood won't be in Miami for the Orange Bowl.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15511919115372205489noreply@blogger.com
